Over 20 Years of Providing Education and Training for Women in the Denver Area.

Young Girls Programs

Young girls learn to become responsible young women and caring citizens, and acquire leadership skills. The mentorship program is a key component, allowing adults to serve as inspirational role models and valuable support systems to the youth. This is one of our most popular programs and fills up very quickly for registration.

College Women Programs

Robust support beginning with admission to the program, continuing through college, and remaining available through career launch. Mind, body and spiritual development support. Stable and loving environment, including homes in residential programming and atmosphere in non-residential.

Teen Girls Programs

Our teen girls bear witness to a society of excess and celebrity, and everything they see, thanks to a totally new world of social media, fuels their frenzied quest to be “somebody” – anybody but who they are. This sets them up for a lifetime of striving for some distorted illusion of perfection while never feeling good enough.

Working Women Programs

Some women are supported in their role as new mothers with company options like flextime, part-time work, work-at-home options, and extended maternity leave. Companies may have programs in place to support breastfeeding, including release time to pump, pumping facilities and breast pumps, and onsite childcare.

Meet Our Team

Betty Ross
President

We believe that motivated children can overcome significant barriers and develop their inherent talents when surrounded by strong relationships and opportunities for enrichment. We believe they thrive in an environment that empowers them and allows them to focus on their strengths which is important.

Nancy Waggoner
Vice-President

Our residential program emphasizes the supportive elements of home and family, including the daily routine of the Denver Women’s Advocacy Group. Our scholars, staff, and mentors sit down for dinner together regularly, between extracurricular activity schedules. We find this is what works best.

Megan de la Rosa
Financial Consultant

Many factors determine a good fit for the program. In order to participate, a scholar must meet a threshold of need, demonstrate academic ability, and display behavioral and emotional capacity to respond to our program. During the application process, level of motivation is also evaluated, and it is a key deciding factor in acceptance.
Priscilla Orozco
Program Director

Developmental Relationships correlate with and enhance the impact of almost every effective intervention. These relationships are marked by emotional warmth and high expectations, and youth who engage have higher grades, higher aspirations, and increased engagement in college preparatory activities.
